My First Custom Cookie Cake

This was the first custom cookie cake I ever made for Sami’s Sweets. I want to say it was very shortly after I announced. my cookie cake offerings. I actually no longer use a certain one of the piping tips for rosettes so they ended up with a truly one of a kind creation.

I ended up with these gorgeous sugar flowers that came with a bulk sprinkles purchase and they were the perfect touch on this very summery themed cookie cake.

This cookie cake is part of the cookie cake chronicles because I ended up realizing a few things very yearly on with selling cookie cakes. And one of them is all about the cake box and cake board situation!

This was back before I had even been able to source the correct size cake boards so I ended up having to make me own foil covered cake board. Thankfully I was able to secure the correct size boards for my boxes and have since switched to a box manufacturer that sells cake boards WITH their cake boxes. You would think that it would totally be standard to sell the two products together but I learned that’s not always the case! (I learned the hared way when my first order of cake boxes came WITHOUT boards, hence the foil DIY job shown here).
